The final preseason game of the year has arrived as the New York Rangers travel to Boston to take on the Bruins. The Rangers will look to finish off with a win after losing to the Devils 3-1. Today's lineup will likely look very similar to what the Blueshirts roll out against the Pittsburgh Penguins for opening night. J.T. Miller and Artemi Panarin will likely not be playing tonight as they recover from their injuries.

The Blueshirts have recalled Carey Terrance and Callum Tung from the Hartford Wolf Pack for tonight's game. Jonny Brodzinski and his wife are expecting their third child, so he will not dress for tonight's game. Igor Shesterkin is expected to start in net for the Blueshirts, while Jonathan Quick backs him up.

Player to Watch: Igor Shesterkin

Regardless of how the game goes, there are always eyes on Igor Shesterkin. This is the first year of Shesterkin's eight-year extension that made him the highest-paid goalie in the league. With what will likely be the starting six defensemen playing in front of him, we will get to see how Shesterkin performs in a new and hopefully improved situation. The biggest defensive change from last season is the addition of Vladislav Gavrikov. The amount of success this season will largely fall on the play of Shesterkin, and tonight could be a glimpse of what to expect for the entirety of the 2025-26 season.

Enjoy the game!
