Rangers Announce 2026-27 Training Camp Roster
No PTOs, no surprise invites—just a lean, no-nonsense group as the Rangers open camp ahead of a shortened preseason slate.
With rookie camp having come and gone, we are officially one step closer to New York Rangers hockey. With puck drop for the first game of the preseason set for Monday, Sept. 21, the Rangers have officially announced their 2026-27 training camp roster.

Not a ton of news here, as it does not appear that the Rangers will invite any unsigned players to camp, nor have they signed anyone to a PTO. With the shortened preseason, it makes sense to carry a smaller roster. Right now, the Rangers have five goaltenders, 15 defensemen, and 28 forwards in camp.
The players from rookie camp who did not make the training camp roster are Darian Anderson, Spencer Bowes, Tomas Chrenko, Felix Farhammer, Artem Gonchar, Zeb Lindgren, Andre Mondoux, Evan Passmore, and Danaii Shaiikov—all of whom are expected to return to their respective junior teams.
It's worth noting, each of these players is expected to spend the upcoming season in North America. Zeb Lindgren will make the jump from Sweden to the WHL as he joins the Red Deer Rebels. Felix Farhammar will head to the USHL, joining the Muskegon Lumberjacks before heading to University of Massachusetts next season.
Camp officially begins today, with the first on-ice session taking place on tomorrow, Sept. 17. The Rangers will play a total of four preseason games, two with the New York Islanders and two with the New Jersey Devils, beginning Monday, Sept. 20.
