Rangers News: Sean Avery targeting tomorrow return

Looks like Sean Avery is trying to make his return tomorrow night against the Capitals. The question will be who does he replace in the lineup?

While you could make arguments for Aaron Voros, Brian Boyle, even Artem Anisimov sitting out when Avery returns, I think the best choice is going to be Enver Lisin, for a few reasons:

  • While Lisin hasn't necessarily played badly, he hasn't really stood out either. Let's remember, Lisin is somewhat of a project player, so we will probably see him in and out of the lineup all season as the Rangers continue to develop his game.
  • Voros-Boyle-Brashear has been a solid line, and they are being used effectively by John Tortorella. I wouldn't go breaking them up just yet.
  • Taking Anisimov out of the lineup would essentially mean you have to break up the VinnyDubiGabby line, (We might need a name for that line) because Prospal would have to drop down and play center. Considering how well this line has played together to start the season, I can't imagine John Tortorella would want to break them up.

What do you guys think, is Lisin the best choice to come out of the lineup for Avery?
