Report: Rangers Sign Boo Nieves, Steven Fogarty To One-Year Extensions

The New York Rangers have re-signed Boo Nieves to a one-year contract extension, according to TSN’s Frank Seravalli.

Nieves, 25, has finally established himself on the Rangers’ roster after a long road through minor league hockey. The center has three goals and five assists in 29 games this season and was set to become an unrestricted free-agent in July.

UPDATE: The Rangers also announced a one-year extension for center Steven Fogarty. The 25-year-old has had a breakout season in the AHL, registering 39 points in 47 games, and is an important locker room presence. He has also played 10 games for the Rangers this season.
