Stanley Cup Playoffs: 4/19/17 Open Thread

For the eighth consecutive day, there's playoff hockey on tonight, as eight teams are set to hit the ice and extend their stay in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. With two teams in danger of getting swept, and another two looking to avoid falling into a 3-1 series deficit, look for a lot of desperate teams in action tonight. The matchups are as follows:

Washington Capitals at Toronto Maple Leafs Game 4 (TOR Leads 2-1) Puck is scheduled to drop at 7:00 PM EDT on NBCSN

Ottawa Senators at Boston Bruins Game 4 (OTT Leads 2-1) Puck is scheduled to drop at 7:30 PM EDT on USA

Minnesota Wild at St. Louis Blues Game 4 (STL Leads 3-0) Puck is scheduled to drop at 9:30 PM EDT on NBCSN

Anaheim Ducks at Calgary Flames: Game 4 (ANA leads 3-0) Puck is scheduled to drop at 10:00 PM EDT on USA

After going all in at the deadline, the Minnesota Wild are in danger of getting swept out of the playoffs by a team that sold its most valuable asset to Washington, as the general manger himself didn't even consider the team a contender. Jake Allen has been unconscious for St. Louis thus far, stopping 111 out of 114 shots en route to carrying his team to the brink of a First Round sweep. Meanwhile in Calgary, the Flames inability to win in Anaheim has cost them again, as they'e on the verge of being knocked out by the Ducks for the second time in three seasons. It'll be up to Deryk Engelland, Troy Brouwer, and the rest of Calgary's heavy hitters to do their job and go down swinging.

Enjoy the games!
