Report: Rob O’Gara Accepts Qualifying Offer

O’Gara, 25, joined the Rangers in the Nick Holden trade.

According to Cap Friendly, Rob O’Gara has accepted his qualifying offer.

O’Gara had until 5:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, and him signing the offer is likely guaranteeing the best deal he was going to get. O’Gara was the secondary piece to come to the New York Rangers in the deal that shipped Nick Holden up to Boston, and he was bad in his brief stint in Blue.

The Massapequa, New York native turned 25 on July 6, and has spent the majority of his career playing in the AHL. He spent 22 games with the Rangers last season.

Kevin went into more detail in his report card, and you can check that out if you feel like. This move is likely to add some depth for the Hartford Wolf Pack, and I find it hard to believe that he will play any role of consequence for the Rangers this season.

This is a report for now, and this story will be updated when it comes official.

Enjoy your Saturday and your weekend!
