Greg McKegg Will Draw Into the Lineup Against Edmonton

The New York Rangers have finally filled the vacant roster spot that was previously occupied by Vladislav Namestnikov, who was shipped off to the Ottawa Senators on Monday evening in exchange for Nick Ebert and a 2021 fourth-round draft pick.

David Quinn officially announced this afternoon that Greg McKegg will slot into the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. This will mark McKegg’s season debut for the Rangers, and he will step in on the fourth line alongside Lias Andersson and Brendan Smith to start the game.

The other three lines as well as the defensive pairings remained intact for the Rangers as they look for their third straight win to start the season.

Here is the expected lineup for Saturday afternoon:

Artemi Panarin - Mika Zibanejad - Pavel Buchnevich
Chris Kreider - Ryan Strome - Kaapo Kakko
Brendan Lemieux - Brett Howden - Jesper Fast
Greg McKegg - Lias Andersson - Brendan Smith

Libor Hajek - Jacob Trouba
Brady Skjei - Adam Fox
Marc Staal - Anthony DeAngelo
