After their furious third period rally fell short on Sunday, the Rangers will get another crack at knocking off the Washington Capitals. A 4-0 deficit midway through the third ended in a 5-4 defeat, so the team is to be commended for a strong final push to close the game. However, David Quinn’s squad will need to bring that compete level from the moment the puck drops if they’d like to earn two points tonight. Just as the Blueshirts appeared to be sneaking back into the playoff picture, a pair of losses to Washington and Philadelphia have put them in dire straits once again.

Player to Watch: Adam Fox

After being named the league’s first star of the week, Fox’s second season has been anything but a sophomore slump. Currently sitting at 29 points through 33 games, Fox’s standout play has helped the Blueshirts soften the blow that Tony DeAngelo’s early season departure caused. Look for Fox to build off his momentum from last week and provide his team the offensive spark his team needs en route to a victory.

Enjoy the game!
