An Introduction, and a Thank You

Hey folks, as you may or may not have noticed, I have been added to the "contributors" section of the masthead. I am joining the fantastic staff of Blueshirt Banter, mainly to write some of the Bantering Points posts, so that Bryan doesn't have to write every single one. I do plan on writing some features and some other posts, but starting Tuesday I will be writing the news posts.

You may recognize me from my series of Behind the Scenes joke fanposts, or because I have over 1,000 comments here, which is nothing special, but still enough to be recognized, I hope.

Anyway, I want to tell you all a little bit about myself, and what to expect from me. I will start with Rangers-related information before the jump, and some little personal facts after the jump.

-I met the Rangers in 2007 or 2008 in a game vs. the Islanders, and got a bunch of autographs. The nicest guys on the team at the time were Nigel Dawes, Scott Gomez, and Brandon Dubinsky. Jaomir Jagr walked past me, yelled something in Russian, laughed, and walked away. I still think it was about me. Martin Biron was on the Islanders, and he was hilarious.

-My favorite current player is Michael Del Zotto. I know I'm insane for saying this, but I think by the end of his career we will love him like we love Brian Leetch. I fear the Rangers will give up on him too soon, and send him in a deal for a scorer. I really hope not.

-I am extremely confident about Mats Zuccarello, Christian Thomas, and Tim Erixon. I am not the slightest bit confident about Dale Weise.

-Last season I went to the Rangers 6-5 win over the Islanders, their overtime win over the Hurricanes in which Zuccarello won the game, among other games. Last season was awesome.

-Every single season I pick the Islanders to break out and almost make the playoffs. They never do, yet I am still picking it again this season.-I am a Scarlet Knight, though there was tons of pressure put on me to be a Red Storm.

-I am an editor/writer for Pinstripe Alley, the Yankees SB Nation blog. I love baseball and hockey way too much. I always say, my eventual wife will have to understand that I love baseball and hockey more than her.

-I believe it is joereiter that wrote The Captain, and posted a copy of the script here? I loved that, and read every word of it. Hope it gets made.

-My favorite food is skittles, and I don't curse, but I can assure you I am not twelve years old.

-I'm usually the guy that stays optimistic through everything, so don't expect me to freak out over losses or anything.

-I plan to be the Brad Richards to Dig Deep's Marian Gaborik, whatever that means.

Finally, I have to thank Joe for giving me the opportunity to write here. I hope I don't let him, or anyone down here, and I promise this is the most I will ever talk about myself.
