It's back-to-back late-night games for the New York Rangers as their west coast trip goes on. Yesterday's game didn't go the way the team was hoping, as they fell 5-3 to the Anaheim Ducks. Tonight, they will take on the Los Angeles Kings, who have only won three of their last ten games, presenting an opportunity for the Blueshirts to steal a game on the road.
Carson Soucy draws back into the lineup after being away from the team to attend the birth of his third child. For the Kings, Corey Perry is expected to slot back into the lineup after missing the last three games. Jonathan Quick will get the start in net tonight as he returns to Crypto.com Arena, previously the Staples Center.
Where to Watch
Cable/Network TV: MSG 2, NHL website, NHL app, and the Gotham Sports app
National Broadcast: ESPN+
Radio: 880 AM
Player to Watch: Jonathan Quick
Jonathan Quick steps between the pipes tonight for what could be the last time in Los Angeles. Quick has had a legendary career, primarily with the Kings, but the nearly 40-year-old goaltender may be getting ready to hang up the skates soon.
Since the injury to Igor Shesterkin, Quick has stepped into the number one role. While he hasn't had the same success as he did as the back up, the Rangers need all that he has left in the tank. If this is the last time he is in the place he called home for 16 seasons, he will want to go out the way the Kings fans remember him, a winner.
Enjoy the game!
