The Rangers look for their first win of the season tonight in Carolina

The New York Rangers are back in action today after yesterdayโ€™s 3-1 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres. Today, the Rangers are hoping to find their first win of the season against a Carolina Hurricanes team that is 1-0-1. Carolina is coming off of a 3-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 5.

Because Henrik Lundqvist started last night in Buffalo, all signs point to Alexandar Georgiev getting his first action of the 2018-19 season. Heโ€™ll be staring down the ice at Hurricanes goaltender Petr Mrazek

At this point it is unknown if DeAngelo will be skating as a seventh defender, or if he will be lining up as a forward. Quinn has experimented with moving defenders to forward before, as pointed out by former Blueshirt Banter contributor @madeupcall:

Keep an eye out for Sebastian Aho on Carolina tonight. The youngster has three points in his first two games of the season. The Finn scored 65 points in 78 games to lead Carolina in scoring last year and was one goal shy of his first 30-goal season.
