Rangers vs. Golden Knights: Open Game Thread

Tonight the New York Rangers go up against the scorching hot Vegas Golden Knights, who are coming off a six-game winning streak. Now tied for first in their division, the Knights have collected 18 wins in their last 25 games. Alex Tuch will be looking to extend his point streak to seven games as he has seven points in his last six contests.

The Rangers on the other hand have been trending in the exact opposite direction, losing 14 out of their last 20 games and coming off arguably their worst stretch of hockey all season. Over their last three games the Rangers have looked atrocious, surrendering 18 goals while only scoring three.

Brendan Smith and Freddie Claesson will be scratched with Tony DeAngelo getting back into the lineup. Alexander Georgiev will get the start against the Knights while Kevin Hayes will be held out of the lineup because of the upper-body injury that has kept him out of the lineup since January 2nd. Consider him day-to-day.
