Rangers vs. Hurricanes: Open Game Thread
The New York Rangers look to bounce back from a tough 5-4 loss against the Florida Panthers.
The Rangers are 10-5-2 at home, 7-3-0 in their last ten games coming off a loss vs. the Florida Panthers on Tuesday evening. With 28 points the Rangers sit a point out of a playoff spot and will look to pickup two more points against their Metropolitan Division rivals.
This will be the second game for the Blueshirts without Mika Zibanejad who is out indefinitely with a concussion. In good news, captain Ryan McDonagh is scheduled to return to the lineup.
On November 22 the Rangers handily defeated the Hurricanes 6-1 down in Raleigh in a pre Thanksgiving throw down. Since that point, the Hurricanes have gone 1-1-1 with its two previous games being decided in a shootout. Overall the Hurricanes are 10-8-5 with 25 points, and have a road record of 5-4-2.
