Rangers vs. Kraken: Keep The Good Times Rolling
Back-to-back overtime wins highlight a growing theme for the Rangers—effort, depth, and defense carrying them while the stars stay cold.
- That's another big-boy win by this group on the road, taking their second overtime game in a row. The Rangers dominated this game, and once again probably should have won by a hell of a lot more than a goal, but a win is a win. Mike Sullivan talked after the game about rebounding nicely on this West Coast swing.

- And he's not wrong. The Rangers of last year would have quit their way through these last two wins. This year's group can't really score, and they have issues putting teams away despite dominating (which might go back to the first point), but the one thing you can say about them is they do not give up. They try. And that's a hell of a lot more than what we got last year.
- The Adam Fox haters should look away (not that logic is going to sway you anyway) but he was the best player on the ice last night and it wasn't even close. Two assists—including a secondary on the game winner—and a beautiful underlying statistical evening.

- Same goes for Vladislav Gavrikov, who scored his first goal as a Ranger. I know we're impatient with many things, but the two of them are really starting to find some chemistry. And with what the bottom of that chart looks like—I just don't know why we need to see Urho Vaakanainen anymore; I'm good—they need to be as good as they have been.
