Report: Boo Nieves Accepts Qualifying Offer
Nieves is 24 and the 2018-19 campaign will be his third professional season.
According to Cap Friendly, Boo Nieves has accepted his qualifying offer which was set to expire on July 15.

The deal is reportedly worth $708,750 at the NHL level which represents a reduction of the $755,000 salary from the previous two seasons. At the AHL level the salary is $70,000.
Last season Nieves spent 28 games with the Blueshirts and scored a goal while adding eight assists for nine points.
He also appeared in 40 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack, and tallied 21 points in 40 games. That represents an improvement of three points in the same amount of games played when compared to his previous season.
The 24-year-old from Baldwinsville, N.Y. was selected 59th overall in the 2012 draft, and this will be his third professional season since leaving the University of Michigan. As it stands Nieves could be a fourth-line option, an area he’d be a good fit, or a top-six option with the Pack.
The team has a lot of depth, and where he ends up remains to be seen, although I would assume Quinn will give the former NCAA product a chance to prove he belongs.
